Comercio de Toluca

As it says on the tin this token commorates a visit of President Porfirio Díaz to Toluca on 30 October 1897 to inaugurate the new water-works. The leading businessmen who met the president at the railway station included the merchants Ramon Ballina, Juan Henkel, Jose Gallegos, Luis Caire and Elisario Gonzalez and the manufacturers Santiago Graff, Eduardo Henkel and Dario Valdez^{The Mexican Herald, Vol. 5, No. 613, 31 October 1897}.
