Rovira's medals: Michael de Santa María 1836, Santa Anna 1842 and the Centralist Constitution of 1843

Michael de Santa Anna

The year 1836 was critical for Mexico: in that same year Texas left and the country adopted the Seven Laws, of a centralist nature. In this climate, ideas about union and solidarity between the young republics of the American continent against the European powers were gaining strength and this medal commemorates Michael de Santa María and an Inter-American Pact.

Constitution of 1843

In 1843 Rovira designed a very interesting medal to commemorate the centralist constitution of 1843 that was in force for three years.
