Alonso Manuel Regil Casares was the owner of several haciendas, and he issued a series of tokens with the initials of his name. This series consist of three denominations.
The smaller one of 20mm is a 10 centavos piece, which is very rare. They were all counterstamped on a Mexico City Mint bronze one-centavo coin, type of 1905 - 1915. All the series were made with half relief punches, so the inscriptions are incuse.
The next piece in size and denomination is the 25 centavos token also counterstamped on regular 20mm nickel 5-centavo coins of the 1905 - 1914 type. In this denomination there are two different punches used for the number "25". This denomination is scarce. Normally the coins used as "flans", were previously flattened up and then counter- marked.
However the piece above still shows part of the original design. Most interesting design still visible is the date 1910), which is important because it proves that these tokens were issued starting in 1910 prior to the issuance of the large five centavos in 1914.
The highest denomination is the 50 centavos, counterstamped on a regular 25mm 2 centavo, the type of 1905- 1906. There are also two different varieties of the numbers, This denomination is very scarce.

This hacienda was founded by the Treasurer of the Royal Caja de Zacatecas, Pedro Gómez de Contreras in the sixteenth century.
It passed to Manuel Diáz de Inguanzo, who had started as the administrator of Hacienda San José de Maguey and had used his salary to buy this Hacienda del Tesorero and the Hacienda de los Perez. These two properties became the foundation of the Inguanzo family fortune, which increased dramatically during the 19th century. Manuel's son, Eulogio Inguanzo Zesati del Castelu, married Maria del Refugio Amozurrutia de Inguanzo, whose father was the owner of Hacienda La Labor de Santa Gertrudis. By the time Eulogio died in 1893, his estate was valued at 280 thousand pesos, a vast fortune in those days. Included were at least three haciendas, various ranches, and several houses in Jerez.
