Lampazos de Naranjo

Hacienda de Dolores

This hacienda was located ten kilometres north of Lampazos. It was established in 1887 by General Francisco Naranjo, who may have named it after his wife, Dolores. Naranjo brought in 300 labourers from central Mexico to work his estate with the latest techniques for irrigation and cultivation.
