Washington Hotel
the patio of the Washington Hotel Aguascalientes in the 1890
This hotel was already functioning by 1879. At the end of the nineteenth century it was owned by Domingo Velasco, who between 1894 and 1897 bought nearby land to expand it and by 1899 had in the "first courtyard hallway, two living rooms, twelve rooms, two dining rooms, a kitchen and a small annexed patio". In the second courtyard there were "ten rooms and a large room with six small rooms for toilets," and on calle Palmira ( now Antonio Acevedo Escobedo), had "ten rooms and a hallway for the street." In 1914 it hosted delegates to the Aguascalientes Convention.
Today, all that remains is a section of its façade, in the Plaza Fundadores.
